Question about The Minigun and the Boss

Why does Minigun don't do damage to the Boss?... i tried it today and i didn't even damage him...is it disabled of doing damage to the boss?

Bosses are immune to grenades, minigun, chainsaw, knife(stealth kill) and helicopter blades.
